• Percentages Worksheet – Percentages appear on every Functional Skills Maths Level 2 paper, usually dressed up as a wage slip, a sale price or a budget question. PDF · answers included
• Ratio and Proportion Worksheet – Ratio and proportion questions are where Level 2 candidates lose marks through method rather than arithmetic – dividing by the wrong number of parts, or treating inverse proportion as direct. PDF · answers included

• Speed, Distance and Time Worksheet – Speed questions are a favourite at Level 2 because they combine a formula with time conversions – and 1 hour 20 minutes is 1.33 hours, not 1.2. PDF · answers included
• Density and Compound Measures Worksheet – A compound measure combines two units – grams per cm³, litres per minute, people per km², miles per gallon. PDF · answers included
• Perimeter Worksheet – Perimeter questions at Level 2 are about fencing, edging, skirting board and running tracks – and the shape is usually an L or a T with one or two lengths missing. PDF · answers included
• Area Worksheet – Area questions are where Level 2 papers put their biggest multi-step problems: find the area of a compound floor plan, subtract a doorway, work out how many packs of flooring, then the cost. PDF · answers included
• Circles Worksheet – Circle questions at Level 2 come with a real object attached – a bike wheel, a circular pond to fence, a round table to varnish – and they test whether you know the difference between circumference and area, and between radius and diameter. PDF · answers included
• 3D Shapes and Nets Worksheet – 3D-shape questions at Level 2 are about packaging: which net folds into which box, how many faces a shape has, what a box looks like unfolded. PDF · answers included
• Volume Worksheet – Volume questions at Level 2 are about how much a container holds or how many boxes fit in a van – and they nearly always need a unit conversion at the end (cm³ to litres, m³ to litres). PDF · answers included
• Surface Area Worksheet – Surface area is the total area of all the faces – the card to make a box, the paint to cover a tank, the paper to wrap a parcel. PDF · answers included
• Plans and Elevations Worksheet – A plan is the view from above; an elevation is the view from the front or side. PDF · answers included

• Angles in 2D Shapes Worksheet – Angle questions at Level 2 give you a diagram – a roof truss, a ramp, a patio tile – and one missing angle, and expect you to use the angle facts to find it and explain which fact you used. PDF · answers included
• Using Length, Area and Volume in Calculations Worksheet – This is where the exam puts its longest questions: a whole project – a patio, a room makeover, a storage unit – that needs perimeter for one part, area for another and volume for a third, with costs and rounding at the end. • Mean, Median, Mode and Range Worksheet – At Level 2, averages questions go beyond ‘find the mean’: you are asked to calculate from a frequency table, estimate the mean from grouped data, and – the part worth the most marks – compare two data sets and say what the numbers mean. • Probability Worksheet – Level 2 probability is about expressing chance as a number between 0 and 1 and using it to predict – how many faulty items in a batch of 500, whether a raffle is worth entering. PDF · answers included
• Two-Way Tables and Probability Worksheet – Two-way tables sort data by two things at once – gender and course, age group and response – and Level 2 questions ask you to complete one from a wordy description, then use it for probabilities. PDF · answers included
• Scatter Graphs and Correlation Worksheet – Scatter graphs test whether two things are connected – revision hours and mock scores, temperature and ice-cream sales – and Level 2 questions ask you to describe the correlation, draw a line of best fit and use it sensibly. PDF · answers included
• Comparing Data Sets Worksheet – The highest-mark data question at Level 2 is usually ‘compare these two sets and say which is better’. PDF · answers included
• Estimating the Mean from Grouped Data Worksheet – When data comes in groups – 0–10 minutes, 10–20 minutes – you cannot find the exact mean, but Level 2 expects you to estimate it using midpoints. PDF · answers included

2. Do the worksheet without the answers, under a rough time limit – Level 2 exams are tight on time.
3. Mark it against the answer page, then read the “where students lose marks” section. That is where the exam marks hide.
4. For writing tasks, use the planning sheet first, write your answer, then compare it to the model answer line by line.
