Do I need Level 2 English and Maths for my apprenticeship?
Most apprenticeship standards require Level 2 English and Maths as a condition of completion. Your training provider or employer will confirm whether it applies to your specific standard – but it is required for the vast majority of frameworks.
Will my employer need to know I am doing this?
Your apprenticeship provider or employer may already be aware that you need Level 2 – it is usually part of your apprenticeship plan. If your employer is funding the course, visit our employers page for information on how that works. If you are funding it yourself, you can enrol directly.
How long does it take to get qualified?
The 3-Evening Intensive can take as little as 2-3 weeks from enrolment to certificate. The 10-Week Live Course takes approximately 12 weeks including exam booking. The 5-Day Self-Study course is self-paced and can be completed in days if needed.
Can I sit the exam from home?
Yes. All exams are Highfield-invigilated online exams, taken from home or any quiet location with an internet connection. You do not need to travel to an exam centre.
Which subject do I need – English, Maths or both?
Your apprenticeship standard will specify whether you need English, Maths, or both. Check your apprenticeship agreement or ask your training provider if you are unsure. We offer both subjects and can advise.
