The 5-Day Course strips out everything except what examiners actually want. No padding, no academic theory – just the patterns, command words and answer structures that get you marks. Most learners finish it in a weekend.
When the 10-Week Course is the right call
The 10-Week Course is the better choice if:
- Maths or English have not been your strongest subjects since school
- You have not studied formally for several years and want to ease back in
- You scored under 50% on a mock test
- You learn better with a live tutor you can ask questions of
- You want weekly practice with feedback rather than self-marking
- You have time to commit to one weekly session for ten weeks
Live sessions run Thursday lunchtime (12-1pm Maths, 1-2pm English) or Saturday morning (10-11am Maths, 11am-12pm English). Both options fit around full-time work and family commitments. Every session is recorded so missing one is fine.

Frequently asked questions
Can I start with the 5-Day Course and upgrade if I need to?
Yes. If you start the 5-Day Course and realise you need more support, you can upgrade to the 10-Week Course – we will credit what you have already paid against the new price. Just message us on WhatsApp.
Are both courses Ofqual-regulated?
Yes. Both courses prepare you for the same Highfield Functional Skills Level 2 exam, which is Ofqual-regulated. The certificate you get is identical regardless of which course you took.
How quickly can I sit the exam?
From five days after enrolment, regardless of which course you choose. You can technically sit the exam having only watched a couple of revision videos – though we recommend completing the full course first.
What is the pass rate?
92% first-time pass across both courses. The 10-Week Course tends to have a slightly higher pass rate among learners who started with weaker foundations – but both work.
